Ethanol Duct has 70% of its pipeline completed

In late June, construction work on the Ethanol Duct reached 70% completion. In addition, this month a decisive stage of the project was initiated: hydrostatic testing.

Pumps were assembled for intake on kilometers 54 and 116, and discharge occurs on kilometers 5 and 161, respectively. The work on the site is carried out 24 hours a day by two teams working the daytime and nighttime shifts.

Simultaneously with the tests, the Consortium is completing other phases of the project. There are currently 29 open points (junctions and crossings), eight non-destructive points (HDD and BORING), and six are in progress.

The pipe laying and backfill phase work is 95% completed: over 197,000 meters, a total of 207,000 pipes. Furthermore, recovery work, which indicates the final stage of the construction and assembly phase, started on some parts of stretches I and II, totaling over 118,000 meters of recovered right-of-way.
