Ponte de Laguna enters the last construction phase

Ponte de Laguna Consortium, led by Camargo Corrêa, entered in the final phase of works of Laguna Bridge, in Santa Catarina. On February 2nd, it was concluded the union of the north and south sections, which marks the final project phase.

There is only 6% of the works missing to deliver the work and the traffic on the bridge is scheduled to be released in the end of May this year. “We concluded the concrete work of the cable stayed section, considered the backbone of the project. Our purpose is to deliver the entire concrete structure by the end of February”, says Gustavo Zanin, work manager.

The Anita Garibaldi Bridge, also known as Laguna Bridge, is one of the main infrastructure projects in progress in the State and has as purpose to relief the traffic in the south section of BR-101. In the summer season, the road registers about 27 thousand cars daily and queues 20 km long.

Also, the project is a mark for the Brazilian engineering. It will be the first cable stayed bridge in curve in the country, with nearly three kilometers long. The columns were built in record time, using precast staves BERD, a technological innovation that reduced the construction time. The building consortium conquered five certifications, and the latest was granted recently by Fundação Carlos Alberto Vanzolini in Social Responsibility Management System (NBR 16001:2012).
